I’ve always believed that customers should know the full picture, financially, before contracting a photographer. Surprises aren’t always welcome! If you can’t find any particular price, or if you have any questions on pricing, please do email or call me.

Gift vouchers are available in $200, $500 & $1,000 denominations for a discounted price. they can also be sent out with a personalized card. Gift vouchers for specific amounts can be supplied for the cover cost. See the choices here.
Generally, your costs as a client are divided into two parts. My time in taking & processing your images & then the cost of what you may wish to do with them - prints, canvases etc.
As a private client, you pay for the session & then buy the prints or other products you want, getting 5% off everything if you subscribe to my newsletter.
As a commercial customer, you would generally just pay for my time in taking & processing the images, as it is unlikely you’d want any print products, and I would license you to use the images for a period of time for specific purposes in certain markets.
I don’t charge different rates for different locations & only charge travelling costs for out of auckland commissions.
Following are the general time costs in different packages. For the product pricing either click on the appropriate link (above left) or in the last box on this page you can see the same prices lists in pdf documents & save them to your computer if you’d like.
PORTRAITS - $280 (including $200-worth of prints & lifetime archiving of your images)
Pregnancy, baby, kids, families & other portrait sessions. These sessions will cost you $280.
The price includes lifetime image archiving of your images, so you can always come back to them (see www.theimagearchives.co.nz for details) plus a credit of $200* for any hand prints purchased at the viewing session. So, if you are happy with the pictures I take & order hand prints, the session can be virtually free. Of course, if you are not happy for whatever reason, you can get your money back or have another session.
So, it’s entirely Risk-free & I assure you it is fun!

A portrait session can be an individual, couple, family or group of friends; babies, children or adults. It can be in the studio or at your favourite location. A session usually lasts up to an hour, but it can be shorter or often much longer if I don’t think I’ve captured the right images.

If you would like a professional stylist to help you look your best for a portrait session, I can arrange that for you
Pricing is very simple:
Hair & Makeup (one person does both) $220 per hour.
Hair only $140 per hour.
Makeup only $140 per hour.
GLAMOUR PORTRAITS - $440
A glamour shoot requires hair & makeup, so the $440 price includes the hour’s session, a hair & makeup specialist for an hour (additional stylist hours or part hours will cost $140), plus a mounted 10x12” hand print. Plus, 10% off additional prints or other products ordered at the viewing session.
LUXURY STYLE MAKEOVER SESSION - $560
A makeover session needs hair & makeup & some clothes styling, so the $560 price includes the hour’s session, a hair & makeup specialist for an hour (additional stylist hours or part hours will cost $140), plus a mounted 8x12” hand print. Plus, 10% off additional prints or other products ordered at the viewing session.
LUXURY COMPLETE MAKEOVER DAY - $1,750
The price of $1,750 includes a full day of pampering. From wardrobe analysis & a personal shopping session with a specialist, to hair styling & a makeup makeover from the best, followed by a photoshoot & prints to take home. ACTORS - $240
The price of $240 includes an hour’s session & allows for up to 3 quick costume sessions. You get x30 6x4” mechanical prints & a CD of email resolution jpegs, plus 10% off hand print prices ordered within 6 weeks. Go to the actors page for full details...
MODELS - from $240
model sessions are particularly difficult to put a figure on. This is because models could require simple head shots for an agency (see actors), glamour shots for a portfolio (see glamour portraits), a portrait session with just a makeup specialist... These examples might give you some indication of price, but do please call me to discuss what you would like. Go to the models page for some more details...
BODY ART - from $500
with Carmel McCormick* who has been awarded the prestigious title of ‘New Zealand’s Body Artist of the Year’ twice. Do go to the body art page to read full details of each of these packages.
Full Body Canvas - $1,280 - (5 hours) whole body painted & includes a 24x16” canvas
Half Body Canvas - $880 - (2 hours) half your body & includes an 18x12” canvas
Circle of Life - $720 - (3 hours) decorate your bump - see one example session here - run slideshow
Kidz Art - $560 - (2 hours) the ultimate face painting. Includes up to x3 kids & x3 10x8” mounted hand prints

COMMERCIAL - from $220 plus gst per hour
I base my commercial quotations on $220 plus gst per hour for photography & $100 plus gst per hour for the digital processing.
I grant a commercial license for image use for each job. Please ask for a full quote as final amounts may vary depending on the requirements.

REAL ESTATE AGENTS - $95 plus gst
I do a special deal for agents as they have a unique requirement. I provide a fast, professional service for those who want really personable, business portraits for stationery & online.
A session takes 20-30 minutes, & you get a CD of the highest quality images taken against a plain (generally white) background. You’ll get a variety of 3/4 length images, with some cropped to head & shoulders for ease.
a 10% discount applies for bookings of 5 or more agents consecutively from one office.

WEDDINGS - from $3,800
I only do a certain number of weddings a year, so please do enquire as soon as you can.
I weigh the cost of weddings heavily in favour of capturing the best possible images on the day. I have a reportage, journalistic style for weddings, so please have a look at one complete wedding set of pictures on my portfolio page... It is important for you to choose a photographer whose style suits you!
